International Symposium on “Geo-spatial and mobile mapping technologies” in 50th anniversary of Faculty of Geomatics and Land Administration

From 7th to 10th of May, 2016, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology hosted successfully the International Symposium on “Geo-spatial and mobile mapping technologies” and “International Summer School on Mobile Mapping Technology” on the occasion of 50th anniversary of its Faculty of Geomatics and Land Administration.

The Faculty of Geomatics and Land Administration, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Vietnam is one of the oldest faculties of the university which was established in the first days of the University. In 2016, the Faculty of Geomatics and Land Administration reached its special milestone - anniversary of 50 years of establishment and development. This is a milestone marking a journey of the striving, development and maturity of the professors, employees, researchers and students throughout the development of the Faculty and the University in general.

The event has attracted more than 100 scientists from Vietnam, Canada, America, China, Australia and Taiwan to share experiences and latest researches on the fields of geomatics, surveying and mapping. One day earlier, the ceremony to celebrate 50th anniversary of Faculty of Geomatics and Land Administration has been organized with the participation of scientists and managers of International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Department of National Remote Sensing of Vietnam, Vietnam Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, universities and industries.
