From 23 to 27 February 2026, a delegation from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), led by Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of the University, participated in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Hong Kong (China). The event brought together approximately 3,000 delegates from over 70 countries and territories. HUMG was among 17 Vietnamese higher education institutions represented at the conference, engaging with partners across the region and worldwide.

On 19 December 2025, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) successfully organized the seminar “Renewable Energy Trends and Strategic Directions for High-Quality Training Programme” at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Petroleum and Energy. The event aimed to strengthen academic exchange and share development orientations in education and research in the energy sector, in the context where energy transition and sustainable development have become prevailing trends in the energy industry. The seminar was organized within the framework of the iTechPath project (UK–Viet Nam iTechPath: Renewable Energy Talent & Innovation Partnership), which is funded by the British Council.

From November 2 to 6, 2025, Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), joined the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam to attend the 59th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE2025), held in Québec City, Canada. During the trip, the delegation also visited Polytechnique Montréal to strengthen cooperation with Canadian partners and expand collaboration with higher education institutions worldwide.

On October 21–22, 2025, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) organized the 8th International Conference on Scientific and Research Cooperation between Vietnam and Poland (Viet–Pol 2025) in Hanoi. The event was particularly meaningful as it marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland (1950–2025) and anticipated the 60th anniversary of HUMG (1966–2026), highlighting a long tradition of friendship and academic partnership.
