
Welcome to Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), a leading public university in Viet Nam with a six-decade tradition of education and research and long-standing strengths in geology, mining engineering, surveying and mapping, and petroleum exploration and production.
Since its establishment in 1966, HUMG has educated nearly 80,000 graduates at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Generations of HUMG alumni have contributed their knowledge, expertise, and leadership to the socio-economic development of Viet Nam, serving as scientists, engineers, experts, policymakers, business leaders, and managers in Viet Nam and around the world.
Building on its long-standing strengths, HUMG continues to develop as a multidisciplinary and research-oriented university. We continue to strengthen the links between education, scientific research, innovation, and industry, while promoting interdisciplinary approaches to meet the evolving needs of society in areas such as natural resources, energy, the environment, infrastructure, economics and management, information technology, and emerging technologies.
