On October 16–17, 2025, the China University of Petroleum – Beijing (CUPB) successfully hosted the Annual Meeting of the Worldwide Energy University Network (WEUN) in Beijing, China. The delegation from the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Hung Truong, Vice Rector of the University.

On October 21–22, 2025, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) organized the 8th International Conference on Scientific and Research Cooperation between Vietnam and Poland (Viet–Pol 2025) in Hanoi. The event was particularly meaningful as it marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland (1950–2025) and anticipated the 60th anniversary of HUMG (1966–2026), highlighting a long tradition of friendship and academic partnership.

From July 28 to August 10, 2025, at the Industrial University of Tyumen (IUT), Russian Federation, Dr. Bui Thanh Tinh – Lecturer, Department of Prospecting and Exploration Geology, Faculty of Geosciences and Geology Engineering – represented Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) at the IUT Summer Institute 2025. This was the second time that IUT had hosted the program, under the theme “Sustainable Development: Technology, Environment, Safety.” The initiative aimed to expand academic cooperation networks in education and research, while providing a forum for young scientists from many countries to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas.

Prof. Dr. Svetlana Tarasova – lecturer from the Department of Environmental Technical Safety – carried out a scientific exchange program at HUMG in April 2025. The activity was conducted under the academic supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Phi – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Environment. This program is part of the Russia –Vietnam Consortium of Technical Universities, aiming to enhance academic exchange, foster applied research, and share expertise in the fields of environment and sustainable resource extraction.
