Founded in 1966, HUMG is a public university under the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, with around 18,000 students, 10 academic faculties, and more than 500 faculty members and researchers.

2. Study and Research Opportunities
Students can explore opportunities across HUMG’s key fields of expertise, including mining and minerals, energy, geosciences, civil and environmental engineering, surveying and land administration, information technology, automation, mechanical and mechatronics engineering, and business and administration.
The exact study, research, or internship activities are arranged according to each student’s academic background, field of interest, and exchange plan.
3. Exchange Pathways
HUMG offers three main pathways for international students.
3.1. Course-Taking Exchange
Students can earn academic credits through English-taught courses in Chemical Engineering.
- Autumn Semester: September – January
Application deadline: 30 June
- Spring Semester: February – June
Application deadline: 30 November
3.2. Research Exchange
Students can join research projects under the supervision of HUMG professors and gain first-hand experience in an academic research environment.
Duration: 2 weeks – 5 months
3.3. Professional Internship
Students can develop practical skills through project-based learning, professional activities, and industry visits related to their field of study.
Duration: 2 weeks – 5 months
4. Support for International Students
HUMG provides support from the preparation stage through to the end of the exchange period. International students receive assistance with admission and visa procedures, dormitory reservation, arrival guidance and airport pick-up, as well as mentoring and ongoing support from the International Office.
Accommodation is available in the HUMG dormitory, with single, twin, and triple-room options. The estimated dormitory fee is approximately EUR 200 per month.
5. How to Apply
Students should first obtain an official nomination from their home university and then submit the required application documents to ic@humg.edu.vn.
The application package includes:
* Application Form for Inbound Student Exchange
* Passport copy
* Academic transcript or academic records
* CV in English
* Nomination letter from the home institution
Once the application is accepted, HUMG will coordinate the relevant Exchange or Internship Agreement and provide support for visa and arrival procedures. Additional documents may be requested depending on the type of exchange activity.
