Installation of a high-rate (50 Hz) GNSS receiving station at HUMG to monitor the ionosphere in the region of Hanoi

With the general objective of promoting cooperation in Earth's atmospheric research based on measurements from the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences and the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) have signed a scientific cooperation agreement. According to the agreement, both parties will collaborate to establish a high-rate (50 Hz) GNSS receiving station at HUMG.

Support international students during the Covid-19 pandemic period

Hanoi University of Mining and Geology is providing more than 30 programs at different levels to Vietnamese and international students from Laos, Cambodia, Mongolia, and China. Currently, 82 students from Laos and Cambodia are staying at the international dormitory of the university.

ISRM Research Team supports Study Promotion Fund of HUMG

At the donation handover ceremony held on 20th of January 2021, the research team “Innovations for Sustainable and Responsible Mining – ISRM” represented by Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Nam - the team leader - donated 50 million VND to the Study Promotion Fund of the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology. This is part of the HUMG’s prize awarded to authors and co-authors who are members of the ISRM research group working at the HUMG for their scientific publication in ISI and Scopus indexed journals in 2019.

The in-time system is a proof of the commitment of organizations to protect staff and students of HUMG from SARS-COVI-2. The system is operated at the very first day that HUMG staff and students start their "New Normal" at the university.
