Hanoi University of Mining and Geology co-organized the 7th International Conference on Economic Management in Mineral Activities and topical issues in Sustainable Development (EMMA+)

On October 23 and 24, 2024, at Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, together with Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (JIEB), Gadjah Mada International Journal of Business (GamaIJB), Technische Hochschule Georg Agricola (THGA), the Society of Mining Professors (SOMP), ISSA-Mining, co-organized the 7th International Conference on Economic Management in Mineral Activities and topical issues in Sustainable Development (EMMA+).

The conference attracted a large number of scientists from countries such as Australia, China, Russia, Indonesia, Romania, Thailand...; scientists from domestic research institutes and universities; managers from enterprises belonging to the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group; and a large number of lecturers, PhD students, graduate students and students of  Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology.

Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai – Rector of the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology delivered the opening speech of the conference. After that, there were presentations by two Keynote Speakers:  Dr. Arika Artiningsih – Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (JIEB) - Indonesia and Prof. J. Kretchmann – Rector of Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences – China.

The conference was organized on the following tracks and topics:

- Session 1: Sustainable Development in the Mining Industry

- Session 2: Towards our Future: Resilient Development

- Session 3: Towards our Future: Capacity Building

During the conference, the participants always seized the opportunity to interact and discuss with domestic and foreign scientists. In addition, the reports brought a multi-dimensional and profound perspective to the field of scientific research in the direction of economic management in mineral activities. Many research directions and cooperation opportunities have been opened up after the conference.

The conference is part of a series of events aimed at celebrating 25 years of the establishment of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The success of the conference is an important milestone demonstrating the growth and development of the faculty.
