Hanoi 22nd January 2021: 07 leading technical universities in Vietnam including Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Da Nang University of Science and Technology (DUT), Ho Chi Minh City National University - University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), University of Transport and Communications (UTC), Thuy Loi University (TLU), National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for comprehensive cooperation which focuses on enrollment, education and training, scientific research, technology transfer, education quality assurance and accreditation, organizing conferences and seminars, developing international cooperation, and communication. This cooperation initiative is supported by the Ministry of Education and Training.

At the donation handover ceremony held on 20th of January 2021, the research team “Innovations for Sustainable and Responsible Mining – ISRM” represented by Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Nam - the team leader - donated 50 million VND to the Study Promotion Fund of the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology. This is part of the HUMG’s prize awarded to authors and co-authors who are members of the ISRM research group working at the HUMG for their scientific publication in ISI and Scopus indexed journals in 2019.
