The Office of Advanced program announcing their action plan of academic year 2019 - 2020 and awarding their excellent students today 10th October 2019 with the witnesses of Prof. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, other academic and administrative staff and all the students of the Program.

Prof. Cong Ngoc Thang, the Head of the Office reported the results of the program in academic year 2018 - 2019 to the whole audience. More than 40% of 181 students of the program achieved fair to excellence grades. 25 students participated in the University Scientific research Contest and won The Second Prize. Under the financial support from ROSNEFT Viet Nam, 5 students won the Third Prize in this contest. Students of the Program also participated and won prizes of "Olympic" Contest at national level and university level.

Regarding international collaboration, the Program has been offering opportunities for 14 students to join summer schools, students exchange programs in various countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Norway, Poland and France, etc. The program is prestigous for international professors from UC Davis (USA) and Saint-Etienne School of Mines (France) to come regularly for lecturing.

Prof. Thang also announced the action plan of the academic year 2019 - 2020 with updating and upgrading the curriculum of the Advanced program, concducting English placement test for students, improving students exchange programs and strengthening international collaboration. 

In the special event of the Office of Advanced program, Prof. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology conveyed important messages to the students, inspiring them of studying, doing research and improving soft skills and English skills to well prepare for the future. The speech was touching the young and ambitious students of the program and other staff as stated by Dr. Vu Thi Kim Thu, Vice Head of the Office and Dang Thi Ngoc Thuy, a student of Class of K5.

As another important part of the event, the Office of Advanced program announced and awarded their 17 excellent students, especially Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh and Nguyen Minh Phuong, Class of K5, for their achievement in the academic year 2018 - 2019.

Ngo Van Hieu, who is sponsored the scholarship for his master degree in Saint - Etieene School of Mines right after his engineering graduation, was rewarded for his outstanding achievement for the whole course of 2014 - 2019.

The Advanced program in Hanoi University of Mining and Geology has been the unique program in Hanoi University of Mining and Geology since 2009, fully taught in English, in collaboration with UC Davis (USA), offering Chemical Engineering training program. To date, the program is gradually internalized by participation of international professors from France, the US and other countries, and international students from Cambodia.
