24/03/2026

On March 23, 2026, at the Pho Yen Meeting Room, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) signed a Cooperation agreement with Baezeni Soft Co., Ltd. on the provision and implementation of ADS Civil software for design, while promoting the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in teaching and research in the field of civil engineering.

The activity was carried out within the framework of the iTechPath project “Sustainable Infrastructure Futures: UK–Vietnam Talent Programmes in BIM, Transport Construction and Renewable Energy Education”, funded by the British Council, with the participation of the University of Salford (United Kingdom), Can Tho University, the University of Technology – The University of Danang, Mien Tay Construction University, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and Baezeni Soft Co., Ltd. The University of Salford, a partner of HUMG since 2019, serves as the lead institution of the project, while HUMG acts as the coordinating institution on the Vietnamese side.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Van Bach, General Director of Baezeni Soft Co., Ltd.; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Ty, Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Technology; Dr. Do Viet Hai, Director of the Center for Student Support and Enterprise Relations, University of Da Nang; along with representatives, lecturers, and students from partner institutions participating in the iTechPath project. On behalf of HUMG were Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of the University, together with leaders, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, Rector of HUMG, noted that in the context of rapid digital transformation in the construction and infrastructure sectors, the application of advanced technologies such as BIM has become an inevitable trend both globally and in Vietnam. According to the Rector, BIM is not only a design support tool but also a comprehensive information management approach throughout the entire lifecycle of a construction project, enhancing efficiency in design, construction, and operation.

The Rector emphasized that, with a strong orientation toward practice-based education, the University continuously integrates emerging technologies into its curricula. Collaboration with industry enables the incorporation of modern technological platforms into teaching and research, thereby improving training quality and allowing students to engage more closely with real working environments.

Following the signing ceremony, the training workshop titled “UK–Viet Nam iTechPath: Sustainable Infrastructure Education in BIM, Transport & Renewable Energy” was organized under the project led by the University of Salford, with the participation of representatives from universities and industry partners. The workshop focused on discussing the development of a Center of Excellence in sustainable infrastructure education through collaboration, along with an effective operational platform connecting knowledge exchange, teaching, training, industry engagement, and policy support.

In addition to Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Baezeni Soft Co., Ltd. also signed cooperation agreements with other member institutions of the iTechPath project. This represents not only one of the notable outcomes of the project but also an important foundation for future collaborative activities, strengthening the linkage between universities and industry in education, research, and technology application. It further supports the development of high-quality human resources in BIM, infrastructure construction, and renewable energy, while enabling students to access advanced technologies and respond to the evolving demands of the labor market.
