On July 2, 2026, at Thuan Thanh Meeting Room, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology held a working session with a delegation from Kunming University of Science and Technology, China. The activity followed the initial cooperation outcomes between the two universities since 2025. The two sides focused their discussions on promoting the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, supporting HUMG’s talented engineer training programmes, and coordinating order-based training linked to enterprise needs in the mineral sector.

On 26 June 2026, at the Pho Yen Meeting Room, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) hosted an academic exchange programme with a delegation of staff, lecturers and students from The University of Queensland, Australia, led by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc. The programme provided an opportunity for the two sides to exchange academic and professional knowledge in Earth sciences, mining and mineral processing, while strengthening connections between lecturers, researchers and students of the two universities.
