In his remarks, Prof. Philippe Lours expressed his honor to visit HUMG and thanked the University for facilitating his teaching activities for the Advanced Program in Chemical Engineering, the presentation of his book, and discussions on future cooperation between the two institutions. He noted that “The Heart of Crystalline Materials” is the result of many years of teaching and research in crystalline materials, compiled to systematize foundational knowledge for learners in engineering fields. The book was published in Malaysia and is currently used in several specialized training programs. Prof. Lours also shared that many theoretical concepts in the book were applied during his lectures and academic exchanges at HUMG this week. He expressed his hope that the publication would continue to support learners in approaching materials science in a structured and effective manner.
