After successful events in 2003, 2004, and 2005 Hanoi GeoEngineering has become a regular international event for geoscientists and geotechnical engineers in Vietnam and many of their overseas colleagues with the focus on the interdisciplinary and integrated researches in geosystem engineering and exploration for infrastructure development of the country. It was decided that Hanoi GeoEngineering 2007 be a two-day international symposium, with a number of accompanied training courses and workshops.
Theme of the Hanoi Geo-Engineering 2007 Symposium is “Challenges in geosystem engineering and exploration” to reflect the acute needs in improving and renovating education, and research in geosystem engineering and exploration so that the country can cope better with the emerging problems resulted from the extensive infrastructure development, especially after her entry to WTO in January 2007.
The symposium is aimed at fostering a closer links between academician and practical professionals from Vietnam, Japan and Europe as well as other countries in the world.
